Description[edit]
IslandA2 is more complex than its predecessor in the series, this track having an small chicane block into a tunnel down-hill, a long right hand corner an uphill exiting the tunnel, immediately followed by a right turn, and another tunnel with a rise and large jump into the Finish.

Innovations[edit]
IslandA2 has been subject to a couple a strategy improvements since its creation, this includes:
- Initiating a Speedslide the turn in the tunnel (note the island variant of this technique differs slightly from Stadium
- Performing a Teleport Slide after exiting the tunnel to the right.
- Prior to this a Roof-Hit was performed on the arch of the tunnel exit to reduce Air-time.
- Aiming the car through a roughly IslandCar sized gap in the upper left or right corner of the Finish Block.
Tool-Assisted Speedruns[edit]
The fastest known TAS of IslandA2 was created by Kimura, achieving a time of 16.68 on 22 March 2025.[1]
