Where to start

If you don't know how to contribute, you can start by simply browsing through articles and fixing grammar and spelling mistakes, weird wording or adding small details. If there is any topic you know about, feel free to add that information to the wiki.

You can also take a look at these pages:

  • Wanted pages, which are linked to but don't exist yet. Feel free to write something about them, even if only a few sentences.
  • Stubs, which are pages that aren't complete or are missing information. Take a look at them and see if you have anything to add.
  • Categories, this can help you find pages in general or give you inspiration for what to add.

It also greatly helps if you share the Trackmania wiki with other people!

The basics

Here are some useful tips for adding simple elements to pages.

Redirects

You can write

[[example]]

to redirect to an article: example.

Sections

== Example ==

The text above creates a new section of the article. You can also use

=== Example ===

for sub-sections.

Bold and italic

You can write

'''example'''

to do example and

''example''

to do example.

Lists

You can write an asterisk at the start of a line to write a dotted list.

*Example1
*Example2
*Example3

Looks like this:

  • Example1
  • Example2
  • Example3

Templates

{{Example}}

redirects/adds the template Template:Example. Some of the most useful templates include

{{stub}}

(stubs),

{{dab}}

(meaning disambiguation), infobox templates and navbox templates.
