Freezone is a feature in TrackMania Nations Forever, Players who are Freezone have only got TrackMania Nations Forever, as opposed to buying TrackMania United Forever. This limits player features drastically as United is the direct paid upgrade to Nations. Freezone Players don't have access to the following:

  • The Currency Coppers
  • The 6 Environments within TMUF
  • Playing more than five matches online on "Freezone" Servers (player made servers set to be Freezone, these cost 250 coppers a week to run. Any other server does not require this recurring payment)
  • In game messages (as these cost coppers to send in the first place)
  • Official Mode (Is a paid game feature and also requires coppers)
  • Manialinks, These are still accessible but virtually pointless due to needing coppers to achieve anything most of the time. (as most were shops of some kind)

Trivia[edit]

  • The Freezone limitation on online servers can mostly be bypassed by simply typing "/afk" with most server controllers when the round ends, you can just leave spectator after the next round starts, and play as normal. Some server overlays even had a built in button on-screen you could click to do this even faster.
