BayA2 is a track in TrackMania United Forever, set in the Bay environment. The track features a highly technical drop-down at the start, followed by two turns and two jumps. The opening drop-down is widely regarded as difficult and inconsistent, leading many players to describe the track as frustrating rather than intuitive. The second jump is significantly larger than the first and results in substantial airtime, making landing consistency a key challenge.

World Record History[edit]

BayA2 has seen relatively few major innovations throughout its history, with most improvements coming from incremental execution gains rather than large strategic breakthroughs.

The most notable discovery on the track was the identification of a roof-hit on the inner left side of the tunnel following the first, smaller jump. By intentionally clipping the roof, players can force the nose of the car downward, allowing it to begin accelerating earlier upon landing. This technique became the defining optimization for competitive runs on BayA2.

The current world record is held by r1nt3, who set a time of 17.11 on 31 December 2025.

The track has also been tool-assisted speedruned (TASed) several times. Similarly to BayA1, these TAS runs primarily represent minor refinements of the real-time strategies and do not introduce fundamentally new techniques beyond those used in RTA world record runs.

Strategies[edit]

Start Drop-Down[edit]

The opening drop-down is the most technical section of the track. Players must carefully balance steering and braking to maintain control while minimizing airtime and avoiding speed loss. Small mistakes here often invalidate an otherwise strong run.

Tunnel Roof Hit[edit]

After the first jump, players aim to clip the inner left side of the tunnel roof. This roof-hit pitches the car downward, reducing landing delay and allowing acceleration to begin earlier. The setup is precise, and incorrect angles can result in excessive slowdown or crashes.

Final Jump[edit]

The second jump is significantly larger and produces considerable airtime. Players focus on stability and alignment rather than aggressive inputs, as a clean landing is more important than marginal speed gains before takeoff.

End Section[edit]

The final turns are driven conservatively to preserve speed gained earlier in the run. Oversteering or aggressive steering typically results in a net time loss.
