Matchmaking

Overview

Trackmania 2020 has a matchmaking gamemode that allows you to play against players around the world to gain elo. It is free on PC, though it requires Playstation Plus on Playstation^{[what about xbox?]}. In the past, matchmaking used to be 3v3 and in the Summer 2025 update it was changed to a 2v2 format, just like World Tour^{[did matchmaking always exist/when was it added? any previous changes?]}. In the lower ranks^{[which ranks?]} you play against bots^{[from which countries?]}, but in the higher ranks you are facing real players.
