Stadium is the most popular and well known environment of all the Trackmania games. It originated from the 2006 game TrackMania Nations ESWC and and recieved updates in the form of new blocks in TrackMania United, TrackMania Forever, and TrackMania² Stadium.
Evolution
The environment has been evolving across multiple TrackMania editions.
TrackMania Nations ESWC
The Stadium environment was first introduced in TrackMania Nations ESWC.
TrackMania Forever
TrackMania Forever connected the Stadium environment with the rest of the United environments and added a couple of new blocks such as dirt blocks and sculptures.
TrackMania² Stadium
TrackMania² Stadium brought the Stadium environment to the Maniaplanet ecosystem with the Maniaplanet 2 update,[citation needed] improving overall graphics, adding a few blocks such as air fabric ramps, and for example changing the pool placement mechanics.
Trackmania Turbo
Trackmania Turbo introduced a few additional aestetics to the game such as towers, palms, birds, and various retexturing of many blocks.
Maniaplanet 4
Maniaplanet 4 update updated the TrackMania² Stadium game with some of the Trackmania Turbo additions and a few controversial[citation needed] retextures. The additions include towers and birds. Palms were not included.
Maniaplanet 4.1
Maniaplanet 4.1 added more special blocks and bumpers in response to the success of the Zerator Cups hosted in TrackMania² Stadium.
