The DesertCar (formerly known as American) is the vehicle used for the Desert environment. It is also featured in Trackmania 2020. The car is notable due to the fact that it can very easily go on two wheels when turning.
Desert-Specific Interactions[edit]
| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| Sand Wiggle | When driving on the Sand Surface (not to be confused with "Rock" surface which is treated almost as road) tipping the car from side to side above 200 speed, is optimal to maintain excess speed when in the off-road as the car only decelerates when all 4 wheels are touching the ground, StarDesertA1 is an example of where this technique is used frequently. |
| Reverse Boosters | Drifting while going over an anti-booster of any kind results in a speed increase instead of the usual decrease. An example of this being used is the WR run by ArkesTM on TrackMania Original's PuzzleE3. |
| Tapping | Repeatedly tapping the steering whilst all 4 wheels are on the ground going round a corner, will result in a speed gain of some sort as long as ground contact is kept. This is used universally across all Desert Tracks where possible. |
