Gbx (also written as GBX) is an abbreviation of GameBox.

The term Gbx is used for multiple internal purposes:

  • Gbx file extension: Nadeo's proprietary file format to store data
  • GbxGame.exe: Original file name of the game executable, appearing in games based on Maniaplanet builds.
  • GBXRemote: Name of the XML-RPC protocol used to communicate with dedicated servers
