A01-Race is the first and most iconic track in the TMNF campaign. It consists of four main sections: the start, the dropdown (downhill), two left turns, and the uphill. TMX link here
World Record History[edit]
The first A01 world record submitted to TMNF Exchange was a 25.45, by McNeil82, on 16 April 2008. By the end of that day, the world record was 24.08 by pHO. The player Silk broke the record 5 times during that period, which ties the most number of A01 world records.
On 17 October 2009, the player Shambo drove the first sub-24, with a 23.99. This record stood until 2011, when it was beaten by Luffy, then again by Kripke. Kripke held the record from 24 September 2011 until 5 June 2021, when it was beaten by Drarker with a 23.86. This is the longest anyone has held the A01 world record. In this time, he brought the record down from a 23.97 to a 23.87. Kripke also broke the record 5 times in this period, making him tied with Silk for most times breaking the A01 world record.
In the next 2 years, the player Rollin broke the record 3 times, and Drarker once more. On 27 January 2022, the player Lackadal drove a time of 23.80, which stood over a year.
On 3 August 2023, the player Eddiel33t broke the record with a 23.79. It stood until 2 July 2025, when Rollin drove his 4th world record on A01, a 23.78. This is the current record as of 2025.[1]

Strategies[edit]
Downhill[edit]
To reduce airtime in the most effective way while preserving a high amount of speed, players jump diagonally and tap release the acceleration key just before the car leaves the ground. The left-right manuever done also results in a car tilt (known as a Ride Trick) further reducing airtime.
Speedslides[edit]
There are two main speedslides done on the map. At the first turn, the player can approach the turn from a bit wider to perform an s4d - tapping brake to initiate a speedslide, just as the car hits 400km/h. Being at the minimum speed for a speedslide, this is very precise and therefore most players opt out of performing the first one.
Next, the player can position their car on the far right of the straight to set up for another s4d, this time at a higher speed. The speedslide is held until before the uphill.
Uphill[edit]
Just as the car reaches the uphill, players can momentarily steer, causing the back wheels of the car to regain grip on the ground earlier, thereby gaining speed. Then, before the car leaves the ground, a small ride trick can be done again.
