In TrackMania Nations Forever, there exists a ghost editor that was used internally by Ubisoft Nadeo to make the ghosts for campaign maps. Because it is an internal tool, there are some leftover developer oversights in it (e.g. your nickname and login are set to nadeo upon using the ghost editor). Twinkie patches these leftovers and allows for easy access to the ghost editor. | In TrackMania Nations Forever, there exists a ghost editor that was used internally by Ubisoft Nadeo to make the ghosts for campaign maps. List of Modules
Dashboard
This module consists of multiple overlays that visualize the car's data in helpful ways, similar to the Dashboard plugin in Openplanet. The tachometer shows the car's RPM using several bars that act like a slider, where when it is all the way to the right, then the car is closer to gearing up. It also features a gear display which shows the car's current gear. The input display displays the car's inputs similarly to the aforementioned Dashboard plugin, while featuring customization options for which style of display to choose. All Dashboard modules have color customization options.
Ghost Editor
In TrackMania Nations Forever, there exists a ghost editor that was used internally by Ubisoft Nadeo to make the ghosts for campaign maps. Because it is an internal tool, there are some leftover developer oversights in it (e.g. your nickname and login are set to nadeo upon using the ghost editor). Twinkie patches these leftovers and allows for easy access to the ghost editor.
Checkpoint counter
Simply shows the amount of checkpoints on the map, and the checkpoints that are currently collected by the player.
Medals
Displays the medal times of the current map, and your current personal best (in solo) or your session best (online).
Tweaker
Like the Finetuner Openplanet plugin, this allows you the change your camera's render distance.
Grinding stats
Shows an accumulation of different statistics on a map, including:
- Total/Session playtime.
- Total/Session finishes.
- Total/Session attempts.
- Total/Session/Current respawns.
Always official
Displays the official mode popup upon restarting a run, which allows you to quickly make every run of yours count towards the official leaderboards.
Trivia
The name Twinkie comes from "tweak" (to modify), modified to "twinkie" (the snack cake).
