The Prestige Skin system has been a part of Trackmania 2020 since 2022 and was updated in the 2026 update.
Overview[edit]
Prestige Skins are car skins that are available to Starter Access players. They are a core element of long-term progression in TM2020 and come in two categories:
- Seasonal Prestige Skins
- Ranked Prestige Skins
With the 2026 update, the Seasonal Prestige Skins system has been improved to make it more rewarding. Ranked Prestige Skins remain unchanged. There are 4 Seasonal Prestige Skins (including 4 ranks) per year:
| Example | Maximum level | Level gain | Skin unlock |
| Bronze Prestige Skin | 7 | Every 3 Bronze medals | Bronze Level 1 (3 Bronze medals) |
| Silver Prestige Skin | 9 | Every 5 Silver medals | Bronze Level 7 (21 Bronze medals) + Silver Level 1 (5 Silver medals) |
| Gold Prestige Skin | 11 | Every 7 Gold medals | Silver Level 9 (45 Silver medals) + Gold Level 1 (7 Gold medals) |
| Master Prestige Skin | 13 | Every 9 Author medals | Gold Level 11 (77 Gold medals) + Author Level 1 (9 Author medals) |
For each new season, you will get a new Prestige skin. Each Prestige Skin has a rank: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Author, and each rank has a level. To increase the level of a Prestige Skin rank, you must earn medals of an equivalent rank, so earning bronze medals increases the level of the Bronze Prestige Skin, and so on. To unlock a Prestige Skin of a certain rank and be able to use it, you must reach the maximum level of the Prestige Skin of the previous rank and level 1 of the given rank. All official medals you have earned during the season are taken into account in unlocking and progressing Prestige Skins. Prestige Skins can be unlocked progressively by getting Official medals from: the official campaign (Solo and multiplayer), the Weekly Tracks (Shorts and Grands), the Weekly Grand Enduro online race, and the Track of the Day.
