Overview[edit]

Trackmania 2020 has a matchmaking gamemode that allows you to play against players around the world to gain elo. It is free on PC, though it requires Playstation Plus on Playstation and Xbox game pass for Xbox. Matchmaking has been around ever since the launch of Trackmania 2020 and it started out with a 3v3 format and has been like that until the Summer 2025 update it was changed to a 2v2 format, just like in World Tour. While matchmaking you are likely to encounter some bots in the lower ranks, while in the higher ranks it is all real players, there are barely any bots in matchmaking therefore you have the chance to test you skill.
