Purpose

Webref is a lightweight alternative to {{Cite web}} for wikis where that template is not available. It formats basic web citations for use inside <ref> tags.

Usage

<ref>{{Webref
 |url=https://example.com/article
 |title=Example Article
 |site=Example News
 |author=John Doe
 |date=2024-05-12
 |access=2025-08-20
}}</ref>

Parameters

url – (required) the full link.
title – the page/video/article title (italicized).
site – website/platform name (defaults to "Website").
author – optional author/uploader name.
date – publication/upload date.
access – date accessed.
