IslandA2 is more complex than its predecessor in the series, this track having an small chicane block into a tunnel down-hill, a long right hand corner an uphill exiting the tunnel, immediately followed by a right turn, and another tunnel with a rise and large jump into the Finish.

IslandA2 has been subject to a couple a strategy improvements since its creation, this includes:

* Initiating a [[Speedslide]] the turn in the tunnel (note the island variant of this technique differs slightly from [[Stadium]]
* Performing a '''Teleport Slide''' after exiting the tunnel to the right.
** Prior to this a Roof-Hit was performed on the arch of the tunnel exit to reduce '''Air-time'''.
* Aiming the car through a roughly [[IslandCar]] sized gap in the upper left or right corner of the Finish Block.
